Wi-Fi sau WiFi este o tehnologie , care permite dispozitivelor electronice sa se conecteze la o retea fara a fi nevoie de fir.Reteaua folosind in general  2,4 gigahertzi UHF  si 5 gigahertzi SHF ISM benzi radio

Senzorul infrarosu pasiv (PIR senzor) este un dispozitiv electronic care masoara radiatia infrarosie emisa de obiectele aflate in campul sau visual.Aparent miscarea este detectata atunci cand un corp cu o anumita temperature (cum ar fi om sau animal) trece prin fata sursei infrarosu (adica un alt corp, obiect) cu o alta temperature, cum ar fi un perete.

Acest lucru  inseamna  ca senzorul detecteaza caldura  de la trecerea unui obiect  prin campul de actiune al senzorului si acel obiect rupe campul pe care senzorul l-a determinat anterior ca fiind “normal”.Orice obiect , chiar unul de aceiasi temperature ca si obiectele din jur va activa senzorul PIR daca corpul se deplaseaza  in campul visual al senzorului.

Toate corpurile emit energie sub forma de radiatie.Radiatiile infrarosii sunt invizibile pentru ochiul uman, dar pot fi detectate de dispositive electronice concepute in acest sens.
